Still Life Drawing

I made this piece to to show my understanding of everything that we have done in class so far. That includes composition, value range, line quality, and understanding light source and shadows. For the value range I had to use all shades on the scale from 1 - 10 1 being my foreground and sticker on the glue bottle and 10 being the hockey puck. I used line quality to help define different details in the piece a thin line being the outline on the paint and glue bottle and a thick line outlining the glass bottle and hockey puck. I chose to draw vertical on the paper because it fit the size of my objects the best. For understanding my light source and shadow I used the correct shadow darkness and placed them correctly so that it did not look like they were drawn with no light. Finally, I learned that a drawing looks more complete and more detailed when you use all aspects of drawing instead of only using some of them.
