I made this piece to show how to use line quality. For this piece we learned the skills of composition, value range, thick lines, thin lines, light lines, and dark lines. For the composition of this drawing I used vertical paper format and made sure my height of bases and proportions were correct. I also used value range in my drawing and I used all shades from 1-10. Thick lines and thin lines were also important for this piece because some details were better shown by one rather than the other. Dark lines and light lines were also important because they helped show shadow and specific details that would not have been seen if all of the lines were the same. Finally, I learned that shading and all of the different types of lines can effect your drawing in many ways and give it a lot more detail.
