I created this piece of art because I wanted to use the new skills that we learned in class. The skills we learned are, Vertical or Horizontal paper, balanced composition, correct height of bases and correct proportions. For this piece I used vertical paper positioning and I feel that was the correct choice because the cups were more tall and skinny than they were short and wide. I used composition on this paper and I tried to center the drawing in the middle of the paper as much as I could. I used height of bases to make the shorter cup on the left look closer than the larger cup in the middle. My proportions for this drawing were made to make the cups look like they were a normal size. Lastly I learned from this piece that taking a look at it from a distance helps you find the small details that need to be fixed.
